1st October 2026St Clears RFC has long brought people together.
From match days and training sessions to events, volunteers and supporters, the club plays an important role in the community. Now, it is also helping support better broadband connectivity across St Clears.
As a host site for part of the Voneus network, St Clears RFC is already helping bring broadband to local homes and businesses.
The club has now taken that partnership a step further by becoming a Voneus affiliate, creating a new way for people in the area to support the club when they choose Voneus Broadband.
Helping bring broadband to St Clears
Most people visiting St Clears RFC will be thinking about rugby, but the site also supports something that benefits the wider community.
The club hosts Voneus equipment used as part of the local broadband network, helping us bring connectivity to homes and businesses in and around St Clears.
For communities like St Clears, finding suitable local sites is key to building and maintaining a reliable network. Working with organisations already rooted in the area helps us keep that infrastructure local and close to the people it serves.
A partnership that gives something back
The club has now joined the Voneus affiliate programme, meaning local customers can support St Clears RFC when they sign up for an eligible Voneus Broadband package through the club.
For every qualifying sign-up, £50 is donated to St Clears RFC, helping the club put money towards what it needs.
New customers also receive a £50 voucher as part of the offer.*
Choosing broadband can also support a local organisation that does a huge amount for the community.
The money generated through the partnership can help cover the ongoing costs of running and improving the club, whether that is supporting facilities, equipment, or future projects.
More than somewhere to play rugby
Local rugby clubs are about much more than what happens on the pitch.
They bring together players, families, supporters and volunteers, while providing a place for people to meet, socialise and take part in community life.
That is why partnerships like this matter.
By working with organisations such as St Clears RFC, Voneus can support places that are already at the heart of the communities we connect.
And when local people can benefit at the same time, it creates a partnership that works for everyone involved.
Supporting the communities we connect
At Voneus, bringing broadband to an area is about more than the network itself.
The places we connect are home to clubs, halls, community groups, businesses and organisations that local people rely on every day.
Voneus want to work with those organisations and find ways for our network to support the wider community too.
Our partnership with St Clears RFC is a good example of that approach, with the club helping host part of our network while also benefiting directly from local customers joining Voneus.
